Jersey City Schools Close Again Tuesday Due To Blizzard
Jersey City's public schools will be closed again on Tuesday. See snow totals and other Hudson County storm updates.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City's public schools will be closed again on Tuesday due to the blizzard.
According to the National Weather Service, the storm dumped 19 inches of snow on Hudson County from Sunday into Monday.
Gov. Mikie Sherrill had issued a State of Emergency starting at noon on Sunday.

NJ Transit rail and bus lines were suspended, but the agency said that the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail would resume Monday after 6 p.m., on a limited schedule. The other rail and bus lines were set to resume Tuesday on a limited schedule. Click here for guidance.
Some colleges, including Hudson County Community College, announced a closure on Monday. However, the college said on its website that it anticipates reopening on Tuesday.

The last time the area was under a blizzard warning was in 2022, when a nor'easter dumped 22 inches on parts of the state.
