Jersey City Schools Close For Snow Day

The Jersey City schools have made an announcement about a snow day.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The Jersey City schools will close Monday due to the snowstorm, Superintendent Norma Fernandez announced.

They joined several large districts in the state, including Passaic, Hackensack, and Camden, in announcing a closing.

"The Jersey City Public Schools will be closed Monday, January 26, 2026," Fernandez said in a message. "All custodians, trades employees, maintenance supervisors and directors as well as 12-month security employees must report as scheduled. I will have an update for you late Monday afternoon."
