Macy's July 4 Fireworks Will Be Seen From NJ And 2 Other Spots, Chain Announces
Macy's will set off July 4 fireworks in three locations, including a Hudson River display in collaboration with Jersey City.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The annual Macy's 4th of July Fireworks will be seen over the Hudson River this year — as well as in two other locations — in honor of the 50th anniversary of the display and the nation's 250th birthday.
The fireworks will illuminate the Brooklyn Bridge, the lower East River, and the lower Hudson River, the chain announced on Friday. The Hudson River display will be in collaboration with the city of Jersey City, which in past years held its own display and events.
"The nation’s largest 4th of July celebration will ignite the skies of New York and New Jersey with a kaleidoscope of color and sound," Macy's said Friday. "The landmark show celebrates 50 years of patriotic spectacle for Macy’s and marks the nation’s 250th birthday."
