Lakewood Teen Killed, Driver Injured As Car Collides With Tractor-Trailer
The driver of the U.S. Postal Service tractor-trailer, which hit the car that drove across the truck's path, was injured too, police said.
HAMILTON, NJ — A teenager was killed and two other people were injured in a crash involving a car and a U.S. Postal Service tractor-trailer in Hamilton early Sunday, police said Monday.
Eliyahu Schepansky, 18, of Lakewood, was killed in the crash on Route 130, which was reported about 4 a.m. Sunday, Hamilton police said.
Mordechai Sokol, 19, of Lakewood, and Beatriz Reyes, 43, of the Bronx, were injured in the crash, police said.

Sokol was critically injured and taken to Capital Health Regional Hospital in Hamilton, police said.
Reyes was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton for treatment, police said.

Sokol was driving a Mazda CX3 south in the right lane of Route 130 and stopped in the intersection with First Responders Way, police said.
Reyes was driving the tractor-trailer south on Route 130 in the middle lane when Sokol tried to turn left onto First Responders Way from the right lane, crossing into the path of the tractor-trailer in the process, police said.
Schepansky, who was Sokol's passenger, died at the scene, police said.
