Mercer Co. To Celebrate Local 'Jeopardy!' Champ At Lawrence Library Event

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Mercer County will celebrate local "Jeopardy!" star Jamie Ding at a homecoming event on Monday, Aug. 31, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System. County Executive Dan Benson will be present.

Ding broke into the show's all-time top five and became known for his love of the color orange and his upbeat presence on the show. The event will include Ding sharing his favorite "Jeopardy!" moments, along with tips for aspiring trivia competitors, followed by a Q&A and bookmark signing.

"We at Mercer County admire our local legends as well as their achievements, and Jamie Ding is certainly one to celebrate," Benson said in a statement. "His can-do attitude and optimism are qualities we should all try to emulate, and we are honored to commemorate this accomplishment with him."

Registration is required and can be completed online through LibCal at mcl.org. The Lawrence Headquarters Branch is located at 2751 Brunswick Pike in Lawrenceville.
