Trail & Treat Brings Costumes, Bike Rides, Halloween Treats To Lawrence Hopewell Trail
The Lawrence Hopewell Trail's annual family event returns to Village Park on Oct. 25.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — The Lawrence Hopewell Trail will host its annual Trail & Treat event Sunday, Oct. 25, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Village Park, offering families a chance to kick off the Halloween season with trick-or-treating along the trail.
Children 12 and under and their families are invited to dress in Halloween costumes and bring bicycles, scooters or roller skates for the afternoon event, which will also feature music, face painting and Halloween treats.
The event offers two route options: a mile-long, treat-filled ride for children ages 6 and older, and a shorter, quarter-mile loop for younger riders. Strollers and bicycle trailers are also welcome.

"We are so excited to host Trail and Treat again in 2026," said Nicholas Kant, LHT board member and chair of the Community Outreach Committee. "It's such a fun autumn event for the whole family, and was very well-attended last year. We hope people sign up early, and look forward to seeing everyone's costumes!"
Organizers said parent supervision is required, and reminded families that New Jersey state law mandates helmet use for all children riding bicycles.
