Amateur Boxing Match Held On Long Branch's Great Lawn Saturday

LONG BRANCH, NJ — There will be an amateur boxing match this Saturday on the Great Lawn in Long Branch.
This is a USA Boxing-sanctioned amateur boxing event that will feature talented young athletes, some as young as 8 years old, from across the tri-state area.
The boxing match will be held on the Great Lawn between Ocean Place Resort & Spa and Rooney's Oceanfront Restaurant in Long Branch. Guests can also enjoy food trucks, local vendors and a fun-filled day by the beach.

In the event of rain, the event will be held at 515 Bath Avenue in Long Branch.
Tickets are available for $40 Ringside, $30 General Admission, and $15 for children 12 and under.

The amateur boxing match is sponsored by NJ Give A Kid A Dream (NJGAKAD). Over the years, Battle on the Beach has hosted WORLD CHAMPIONS in support of NJGAKAD's mission, including Olympic Gold Medalist Mark Breland, Teofimo Lopez, Junior "Poison" Jones, Al "Ice" Cole, Paul "The Pittsburgh Kid" Spadafora, and Iran "The Blade" Barkley.
More than a day of boxing, Battle on the Beach is an opportunity for the community to show up for the kids who are working hard and building confidence.
