Indoor Marijuana Grow Business Coming To Eatontown

EATONTOWN, NJ — An indoor marijuana cultivation business is approved to open in Eatontown.

The business is called Exotica Gardens, and it will be located at 465 Industrial Way West, Block 3503 Lots 4 & 5.

The Eatontown Planning Board approved them for a cultivation license at their Dec. 4 meeting, said Eatontown Mayor Anthony Talerico.

Exotica Gardens only grows marijuana; they will not have a customer-facing retail shop. They will grow the marijuana indoors at the Industrial Way warehouse, using hydroponic techniques, and then sell the cannabis to retail pot shops.

"Finally after 10 months of paying rent and waiting, we’re ready to start construction," Exotica Gardens posted last week to their Instagram account.

There are several existing marijuana retail shops in Eatontown, and Talerico said Wednesday the town has made more than $1 million in taxes from them.
