Long Branch Beach Replenishment Will Begin In Late Fall

LONG BRANCH, NJ — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a $38.3 million contract to Weeks Marine to begin a targeted beach replenishment project in Monmouth County, in the towns of Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright and Long Branch.

Congressman Frank Pallone secured $37 million in federal funding for the project, and the remainder ($1.3 million) will be paid for in state and local tax dollars.

The beach replenishment is expected to begin in late fall, finishing by March 2027.

Here's where the beach/sand replenishment will be done:

In Monmouth Beach: Starting at the Monmouth Beach Bathing Pavilion and going north to the Monmouth Beach Bath and Tennis Club.

In Sea Bright: Sea Bright will see most of their ocean beach front replenished.

In Long Branch: The beach north of Pier Village to Seven President’s Park will receive sand.

In total, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will place a total of 1.3 million cubic yards of sand across these three towns.
