Primary Election Voter Guide In Eatontown

The primary election is next Tuesday, June 2, but it is not a competitive primary in Eatontown.

EATONTOWN, NJ — This year, there's an election for Eatontown mayor and two Council seats.

Current Eatontown mayor Anthony Talerico is asking voters to re-elect him.

He is challenged by Maria Grazia Escalante, a Republican who is currently on the Eatontown town council.

Voters will also be asked to choose two people for the Eatontown town Council:

1. Danielle Jones, Democrat - A current Eatontown Councilwoman
2. Candace Faust, Democrat - A current Eatontown Councilwoman. She and Mayor Talerico are dating.
3. Kevin Gonzalez, Republican - Gonzalez used to be on the Eatontown Council. This year, he is making a bid to get back on it.
4. Ali Mehdaoui, Republican

The primary election is next Tuesday, June 2, but it is not a competitive primary in Eatontown. The three Democrats and the three Republicans who filed to run will represent their respective parties in the general election in November.
