Long Valley's Community Night Out Postponed Due To Weather

The free family event has been pushed back, but will still feature live music, games, food, police demonstrations, and more.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Washington Township’s Community Night Out has been postponed due to the threat of severe weather, organizers announced.

Originally scheduled for Tuesday, the event will now be held on its rain date, Wednesday, July 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. The location remains unchanged at Rock Spring Park, next to the Washington Township Police Department.

“Due to the weather forecast, Community Night is being pushed back one day and will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.,” organizers said.

The free event is open to all Washington Township residents and will feature activities and demonstrations for the entire family, including:

  • A police K-9 demonstration
  • A helicopter landing
  • A hot-air balloon
  • A Jaws of Life demonstration
  • Live music
  • Food and ice cream
  • Face painting
  • A Batman appearance
  • A dunk tank

All activities and times remain subject to weather conditions. Residents are encouraged to share the updated date with friends, neighbors and family members.
