Man Sexually Extorted Long Valley Victim Via Social Media, Cops Say

The man threatened to send sexually explicit photos to people known to the victim, coercing them to send more, officials said.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A Morris County man has been arrested after police discovered he’d been sexually exploiting a Long Valley victim.

Police announced Tuesday that a Randolph man faces several charges following a several-week-long investigation into the extortion reports.

According to authorities, the man threatened to distribute sexually explicit photos of the victim to individuals known to them while actively trying to coerce the victim into sending more explicit images.

The Randolph man has been charged with cyber harassment, sexual extortion, and invasion of privacy. He was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility to await court proceedings.
