On May 15–17, Scout Troop 236 traveled to Hankins, New York, for a weekend camping and canoeing adventure along the Delaware River.
Scouts paddled from Skinners Falls to Ten Mile River, spending approximately four hours on the water navigating calm stretches, light rapids, and scenic river views. A few canoes tipped along the way, adding some fun and excitement to the trip. Friendly water-gun battles between canoes brought even more fun and laughter to the day.
The Scouts were also treated to impressive wildlife sightings. Several bald eagles were seen soaring overhead, and multiple eagle nests were spotted along the riverbanks, making the trip especially memorable for nature enthusiasts.

Back at camp each evening, Scouts gathered around the campfire to share stories, with fellow Scouts acting out the tales and keeping everyone entertained. Brandon, Niko, and Andrew demonstrated teamwork and outdoor creativity by constructing a teepee-style shelter at the campsite.
The weekend provided Troop 236 Scouts with valuable opportunities to strengthen their teamwork, paddling, and outdoor skills while enjoying the adventure of camping and spending time together in the great outdoors.
