Madison Warns Of Permit, Inspection Delays As Software Outage Hits Day 4
The SDL/GovPilot platform, used for municipal permitting and licensing across NJ, has been down since the weekend.
MADISON, NJ - The Borough of Madison is alerting residents that a system-wide outage affecting SDL/GovPilot is continuing to cause service delays with no resolution yet from the vendor.
SDL/GovPilot is a software platform used for permitting, inspections, licensing and other municipal operations across New Jersey.
The outage, which is outside the borough's control, entered its fourth day Thursday.

Borough officials said the disruption may continue to affect the processing of applications, inspection requests, licensing submissions and other related municipal services for an undetermined period.
The borough emphasized that the issue originates with the SDL/GovPilot platform itself, which serves municipalities statewide, and is not the result of any problem with Madison's own systems or staff.

Once SDL/GovPilot restores service, borough staff said they will work to address any accumulated backlog as quickly as possible. Residents are asked for their patience in the meantime.
