Nordstrom Rack To Open In Mall In Bergen County With Giveaways, Prizes

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A new Nordstrom Rack department store will open in a mall in Bergen County next month, a spokesperson said.

Opening day will include a celebration with giveaways, refreshments, and a drawing for a $1,000 gift card.

The 25,000-square-foot location of the Seattle-based fashion retailer will open at the Interstate Shopping Center on Route 17 in Ramsay. The center also includes a ShopRite, Five Below and Petco.

The opening for the public, and grand opening celebration, are scheduled for Oct. 8. Festivities kick off at 8 a.m., and doors open at 9 with a local coffee cart, giveaways, and more.

The drawing for a $1,000 gift card will take place at 8:45 a.m.

Nordstrom Rack is the discounted division of Nordstrom, which sells name-brand clothes, shoes, accessories, and home decor. Nordstrom Rack offers customers up to 70 percent off.

New Jersey has four Nordstrom stores and nine Nordstrom Rack stores, generating more than 1,600 jobs statewide, a spokesperson said.

Interstate Shopping Center is owned through a joint venture between New York-based Wafra and Mahwah-based Crossroads Companies, with Crossroads also serving as property manager and exclusive leasing agent.

The new store will be located at the mall at the intersection of Route 17 and Franklin Turnpike.
