MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of fraud, theft, harassment and more from May 15 through May 18.

May 15

At 3:23 a.m., Patrolman Christopher Kinnie initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 east for motor vehicle violations. Investigation revealed that the driver was driving their vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. They were arrested and brought to Manalapan Police Headquarters, where they were processed and released pending court.

At 5:17 p.m., Patrolman Christopher Capuzzo was dispatched to a business in Manalapan for a 66-year-old Manalapan resident who was making harassing comments towards employees.

May 16

A 66-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone stole a bicycle, described as a Hyper Mountain bike, from the side of their home.

The bicycle was valued at approximately $150. The case is pending further investigation.

May 18

A 77-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of fraud.

The victim reported that someone hacked their computer, claiming to be technical support and advising that their computer had been compromised.

The victim wired $10,000 to the unknown actors at their request.
