Theft, Fraud, Trespassing: Manalapan Police Blotter
Manalapan Police reported four theft-related incidents from Jan. 28 through Feb. 3.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of theft, fraud, trespassing and more from Jan. 28 through Feb. 3.
Jan. 28
An employee of a Manalapan business alleged that a Millstone resident was trespassing on the property after previously being issued a “No Trespass Order.” The person was not on location at the time of the call.
A Manalapan resident reported being a victim of fraud in the amount of $500 after being scammed by someone posing as a Microsoft customer service representative.

Jan. 29
Around 8:30 p.m., a police officer conducted a motor vehicle stop for motor vehicle violations.
After further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was then brought to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters, where he was processed and released on a summons, pending a future court date.
Jan. 30
A Manalapan business reported a shoplifting incident that occurred a week prior. The accused took possession of multiple items without paying. The total monetary loss at this time is $4,447.96.
A Manalapan business owner reported a fraudulent phone call claiming to be from Provident Bank. The caller tried multiple transactions, but none went through. The business owner is at no monetary loss at this time.
Feb. 2
An 82-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone removed personal belongings from their room at a senior living facility in Manalapan. The victim reported a monetary loss of approximately $500.
A 72-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone removed personal belongings and cash from their home. The victim reported a monetary loss of approximately $21,678.
Feb. 3
A 63-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone removed two license plates for a secondary vehicle outside of their personal vehicle.
