Bring Kids To Seine The Shark River Tuesday Night
The American Littoral Society will lead a seining of the Shark River Tuesday evening in Belmar. Meet at 6:00 p.m. in Maclearie Park.
BELMAR, NJ — As summer winds down, here's another chance to get outdoors with your kids:
The American Littoral Society will lead a seining of the Shark River Tuesday evening in Belmar. Meet at 6:00 p.m. in Maclearie Park in Belmar (905 NJ-35, Belmar, NJ 07719), where participants will help pull a 45-foot seine net through the bay and see what marine wildlife they can find.
Sunset will be at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday.

$10 per kid. *No fee for children 2 and younger, please register all attending children & adults

The Littoral Society hosts this in partnership with Shark River Clean Up Coalition (SRCC) & Belmar Environmental Commission.
We’ll meet at the stairs leading down to the bay on the western side of Maclearie Park. Participants will help pull a 40-foot seine net through the bay and experience the thrill of discovering fish, crabs and other fascinating marine creatures.
Please wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet!
