Fall Hydrant Flushing Coming Up In Manchester
The fire hydrant flushing is part of regular maintenance of the township's water system.
MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Township fire hydrants will undergo the fall flushing beginning in September.
The Department of Utilities said the flushing will be done in September and October.
Each community will be notified when flushing begins in their area, the utilities department said.

Flushing hours will vary and it will take place during the day and at night.
"During this time, you will experience a difference in pressure and discoloration," officials said. "Run your cold-water tap only until it runs clear."

Hydrant flushing is a key part of maintenance for water service and helps clear sediments that can accumulate in the water lines.
