Manville Schools Closed Monday, Snow Emergency Declared For Borough
All district activities and transportation are suspended for Monday, as the borough issues a snow emergency and parking restrictions.
MANVILLE, NJ — The Manville School District will be closed on Monday due to an impending snowstorm and blizzard conditions.
All district activities and district-provided transportation are suspended for the day. District officials reported they will continue to monitor weather conditions and accumulation totals to determine the district's status for Tuesday.
The safety of the walking community is a primary concern for the district. Safe passage to school requires that roads and sidewalks be cleared.

The district encourages students and community members to help neighbors in clearing sidewalks and walkways to ensure a safe and timely return for all.
In coordination with the Manville Office of Emergency Management, Manville Borough is under a Local Snow Emergency Declaration. This declaration became effective at noon on Sunday, per Ordinance 2022-1286. Residents are advised of specific parking restrictions.

All vehicles must be removed from Borough roads by 4 p.m. Sunday. Ticketing and towing will begin after that time.
Residents may park on their lawns or in designated municipal lots. These lots include VFW 2290 at 600 Washington Avenue (main lot), the Manville Library Lot, the Manville Municipal Lot on Main Street between Rosalie Street and North Orchard Street, the Borough Hall Lower Municipal Lot on South 1st Avenue, and the Brooks Boulevard Lot between North 3rd Avenue and North 4th Avenue.
Sanitation services will also be affected by the snow emergency. Garbage pickup scheduled for Monday is postponed until Tuesday morning.
