Beloved Monmouth County Restaurant Closes After 13 Years

The restaurant announced its closure on Thursday, thanking customers for over a decade of their support.

MARLBORO, NJ — A beloved Monmouth County restaurant has suddenly closed after serving the local community for over a decade.

Rosalita's Roadside Cantina, located on 180 U.S. 9 in Marlboro, announced its closure on Thursday after being in business for 13 years.

A reason for the closure was not given in the restaurant's post, and a phone call to Rosalita's was not immediately answered on Monday.

"Sorry, we're closed permanently," the restaurant's post reads. "Rosalita's thanks you for your patronage for the past 13 great years!"

News of Rosalita's closing its Marlboro location comes after its Brick restaurant closed in May 2025.

Rosalita's was known for "Tex-Mex with a focus on natural, locally sourced produce, meats and dairy" as well as its weekly specials, such as Taco Tuesdays and Thirsty Thursdays.

Menu items ranged from taco salads to combo platters, burritos, fajitas and more. The restaurant also offered a variety of drink options.
