Colts Neck Election Propaganda

The madness continues…

Marianne Cucolo is an unopposed candidate for the Republican Party in the 2026 Primary Election. While extending her relentless political attacks on socials media, Cucolo’s candidacy was kept a secret.

Ms. Cucolo, has posted inflammatory, misleading and inaccurate information over the financial status of the Colts Neck Board of Education. She rants constantly over the affordable housing legal bills and Kevin Walsh running in the Colts Neck Republican Primary.

Cucolo wrote of the Board of Education’s $12.5 million in reserve funds. During the budget hearing we were told of almost $4 million in bills not yet paid, drawing the amount down to near $8.5 million. A fact Cucolo failed to share.

The BOE did not take the 2% budget increase allowed by law, saving tax payers over $3 million. The BOE confirmed they are in good financial standing with the State and have had no inquiries from Ms. Cucolo over their financial status.

Ms. Cucolo’s frequent attacks against the current Colts Neck elected officials has been endless. Many times her postings are not supported by facts. Truth is conformity to facts….not distortion of the facts.

Cucolo is excellent at fanning the flames or throwing gasoline on a public topic. Cucolo adds heat but repeatedly fails to shed any light on a solution to the issues at hand.

Cucolo’s postings over Walsh’s election signs being illegal, are not supported by the Township Ordinance, the ACLU or NJ Case Law.

Ms. Cucolo claimed her e-mailed newsletters are her work product with no collaboration. Yet Cucolo posted pictures of the Town Hall replacement waste lines, wrote of the NJDEP violations, commented on the affordable housing attorney’s itemized bills list and other stories based on public records, extended to her by this Colts Neck resident.

A legal document notes Cucolo resigned from her government position in another community, before moving to Colts Neck.

When Cucolo’s name surfaces in town, people roll their eyes. Many residents have caught on to her frequent inaccurate postings, embellishments and misinformation.

April 4th 2024 Cucolo shared via e-mail, she was reported for “hate speech” on Nextdoor. In July 2023 Cucolo wrote… “when someone cannot embrace differing opinions, doesn't treat all residents with respect and treats the front steps of Town Hall like third base at a baseball game screaming and shouting and calling names we have a serious problem.”

Cucolo’s rants against Committee Member Buzzetta are like a never ending cat fight. Her verbal rant, over candidate Kevin Walsh politely speaking with residents in town hall was not warranted or justified…and displayed she is a problem.

Patronage is a reward for helping a politician win or stay in office. The merit in this instance has been the relentless social badgering, posting of misinformation and fake information …with those benefiting from Ms. Cucolo’s nasty… overly aggressive campaign posting… being candidates Bob Farrell and Tom Sullivan.

As a resident, I say no to the posting of false information, to the half baked stories posted about the Board of Education and ask residents to consider our charming community when they vote on June 2nd.

Respectfully
Kevin M. O’Brien - Independent & Retired Colts Neck
