Middletown Mayor Tony Perry wants a promotion without doing his Job

Tony Perry Absent Mayor of Middletown, and aspiring candidate for the Monmouth County Commission

Middletown Republican Mayor Tony Perry is more interested in running for the Monmouth County commission, than he is about doing his job in Middletown. Multiple parents are asking, and demanding that Mayor Tony Perry exert his influence as Mayor, to possibly convince the Middletown school board to stop the planned closure of two Middletown schools, and turning Bayshore Middle School into an elementary school.

Instead of standing with the parents, and attempting to exert his influence as Mayor to potentially stop the aforementioned plans, Perry is choosing to avoid being involved. But he wants to be on the Monmouth County board of commissioners. Maybe career politicians do things differently, they definitely do, but for the rest of us if we don't show up to work, we don't get a promotion. So instead of trying to climb up the political ladder, you should do your job as Mayor, Mr. Perry.
