Monmouth County GOP Chair, and Sheriff Shaun Golden reelected as Monmouth GOP Chair

Corrupt Monmouth County Republican Chairman, and Sheriff, Shaun Golden has just been re-elected as chairman of the Monmouth County Republican Party. Under his tenure as Chair of the Monmouth GOP and political boss of Monmouth County, the fully Republican-controlled board of county commissioners has illegally raised its own wages by $3,000. They also increased the wages of their party boss, and Sheriff, Shaun Golden by $42,210, over a period of five years, also illegally.

But the corruption, cronyism, and disregard for the rules, and the public doesn't stop there. The Monmouth County Republican controlled government also wasted nearly a million in taxpayer money to seize a private airport for Netflix, that doesn't sound like limited government, or transparency to me. Under Shaun Golden's leadership, the Monmouth County Republican Government refused to attend the only debates, as held by the League of Women Voters, for last year's elections. This is not only cowardly and entitled, but it completely disregards the voters, and residents from hearing about their government, their policies, and alternatives from other parties, and individuals. This year Shaun Golden also blocked a woman from his official government account simply for disagreeing with him, and has had comments disabled for the longest time until recently. This is not a Party Chairman, Sheriff, or Republican Party, and government that cares about the people, or about hearing differing political views, or opinions.

The disregard, and disrespect for voters doesn't end there. Two years ago, Monmouth County Republican Commissioner, Ross Licitra, berated a worker for disagreeing with his organization's decision to euthanize a dog. Ross called the worker a "nobody" That same year, Ross was heard threatening to "cut the throats" of people he deemed rude. Obviously, the Monmouth County Republican Party, and government didn't denounce, or condemn his behavior, they simply distanced themselves from him for a little while, but he didn't end up getting reprimanded for any of it. And that's because this party, and government do not respect the voters, and residents of Monmouth, and they have no intention of doing so. They'll do photo ops, they'll make various posts touting their accomplishments, but they'll never, ever tolerate dissent, opposition, and questioning, from others who are critical, and skeptical of their party, and style of governance.

It doesn't stop there. This year the Monmouth County Republican Party endorsed Former NYPD Officer, Michael McGuire, who's running against Herb Conaway in New Jersey's Third Congressional District. As an officer, Michael McGuire was found guilty by his own police department, not a court to avoid confusion, of the following:

Disciplinary Case No. 81041/05: McGuire was found guilty of engaging in conduct prejudicial to the good order, efficiency, or discipline of the department regarding an incident on June 7, 2005, where he was charged with slapping an individual. (His Wife at the time)

Disciplinary Case No. 82590/07: Having entered a plea of guilty, McGuire was found guilty of failing to properly safeguard his NYPD identification card, being absent from his assignment without permission or necessity on two occasions, failing to maintain a valid driver's license/notify his commanding officer of its suspension, and failing to comply with instructions regarding late reporting and reporting to the Mail and Distribution Unit.

Disciplinary Case No. 82591/07: McGuire was found guilty of Specification No. 1 (engaging in conduct prejudicial to the department by requesting an emergency day off via a civilian rather than a supervisor and failing to disclose a court notification) and Specification No. 2 (being absent from his assignment without permission or necessity).

Disciplinary Case No. 83029/07: Having entered a plea of guilty, McGuire was found guilty of being absent from his assigned tours of duty on October 27, 2006, and November 2, 2006, without permission or police necessity.

Michael McGuire denies slapping his ex-wife, I'm not sure if I believe him due to his record, but he denies it. His ex-wife also put out a statement denying that he slapped her, but she wouldn't be the first, or last ex-partner to protect a person who's looking for more power, so I'm not sure if I believe her new statement either, especially since people like Eric Swalwell, Cesar Chavez, and more have had women who protected them too, until they spoke out. But the Republican Party in Monmouth County is willing to platform this man, and enthusiastically support him, despite his disastrous record in the NYPD. In my opinion, this man believes the rule of law is above him, and has put multiple people in danger by not showing up to his job like he was supposed to. In this Country, and elsewhere in the world, if you don't show up to work, if you don't do your job, then you don't get a promotion, so I'm not sure why we should give this man a position of power above him, when he doesn't deserve it. The Monmouth County Republican Party endorsed this man, despite being the weakest opponent that Conaway can have, and despite his history as an NYPD officer, but it's no mistake. This is not a party, or government that respects women, dissenting opinions, general criticisms, or transparency. This government stands for the opposite, and that's why many conservatives, independents, and Democrats oppose the current Republican establishment, and government here in Monmouth.

This November when you're voting, remember the record of this Party, and government. It's time for a change.
