Founders, Freedom & Fireworks, Matawan's celebration of America's 250th anniversary!

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Matawan's Fireworks Celebration has been moved to Sunday, June 28, due to the forecast for inclement weather.

While we're disappointed to postpone the fireworks by one day, there are still great events happening on Saturday!

• Saturday, 6/27: Burrowes Mansion Tours (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM) will take place rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Matawan Historical Society's self-guided walking tours are also still scheduled, weather permitting.

• Saturday, 6/27: Matawan Fresh Farmers & Makers Market         (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM) is a rain or shine event and looks forward to welcoming shoppers.

• SUNDAY, 6/28: Founders, Freedom & Fireworks (Pre-fireworks fun begins at 6:30 PM, fireworks after dark) The celebration concludes with the grand finale, the Matawan Fireworks Spectacular at Lake Lefferts Park! Beginning at 6:30 PM, families can enjoy inflatables, glitter tattoos, balloon art, sand art, giveaways, and live music by Funny Bone. Food, ice cream, and light-up novelties will be available for purchase. Be sure to catch patriotic float displays.

PLEASE NOTE: The Colonial Encampment has been postponed to a future date to be determined due to pending weather.
