Ice Cream Monster, the ice cream shop in Matawan, reopened Monday after the interior of the shop had flooding over the weekend.

MATAWAN, NJ — Ice Cream Monster, the ice cream shop in Matawan, reopened Monday after the interior of the shop had flooding over the weekend.
The store posted on its Instagram account that it suffered very bad flooding Saturday, and Ice Cream Monster was directing people to go to their Keyport store, at 29 West Front Street.
The store posted this video of rain water cascading through the ceiling, down the walls and across the floor during an intense rainstorm.

NJ101.5 also reports that before the flooding, the ice cream shop had suffered a power outage last week and all their inventory had to be discarded due to loss of refrigeration.
Ice Cream Monster reopened Monday for business as usual. They are restocked with fresh ice cream.
