Road Work In Chester To Cause Delays Ahead Of Holiday Weekend: Details

Drivers should allow extra travel time and consider using alternate routes while the work is underway.

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Drivers traveling on North Road (County Route 513) in Chester Township should plan for delays as a road paving project gets underway later this week.

Township officials announced that North Road will be milled and paved on Friday, June 26, and again on Monday, June 29. The work will take place between The Crossroads and the entrance to the gun and archery range on North Road.

Construction is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. on both days and may continue into the late afternoon, according to officials.

While the roadway will remain open during the project, traffic will be alternated through the work zone by police officers, which is expected to cause delays for motorists traveling through the area.
