2 Monmouth County Resident Aliens Illegally Voted, Federal Prosecutors Say
"Non-citizen voting is a federal crime," said Kash Patel. "While other administrations may have looked the other way, those days are over."
NEWARK, N.J. – Two men who live in Monmouth County illegally voted in federal elections and then lied about it when they later applied for United States citizenship, U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer said Monday.
The men are Idan Choresh, 43, originally from Israel and Abhinandan Vig, 33, originally from India. Both men held green cards when they voted, and were resident aliens. However, they were not U.S. citizens. Only U.S. citizens can vote in federal elections.
Both men lived in Monmouth County, but federal prosecutors are refusing to say which towns.

They were charged alongside David Neewilly, 73, of Atlantic County and Jacenth Beadle Exum, 70, a woman who lives in Bergen County.
All four held green cards when they voted in U.S. federal elections, but were not U.S. citizens, said prosecutors.

U.S. Attorneys said they lied on their voter registration forms and said they were United States citizens. Later, all four applied to become United States citizens by submitting applications for naturalization (an “N-400” form). All four lied on their N-400 forms and said they had never registered, or voted, in any federal elections.

ICE Director Todd Lyons said that under President Trump, Homeland Security "is actively investigating and rooting out election fraud wherever it can be found."
“Non-citizen voting is a federal crime — period — and while other administrations may have looked the other way in the past, those days are over," said FBI Director Kash Patel. "We continue to work around the clock with our inter-agency partners to ensure those who engage in such conduct will not get away with it.”
“This administration will not tolerate aliens who attempt to vote in our elections when they know they are not eligible,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche.
All four voted in at least one federal election. Neewilly voted in the 2020 and 2024 general elections, Beadle Exum and Vig voted in the 2020 general election and Choresh voted in the 2022 general election. The 2020 and 2024 general elections each included the election for the office of President and Vice President of the United States, and the 2022 general election was for members of U.S. Congress.
