Fire Breaks Out On Rear Deck Of Belford Home Sunday

Two people had to be treated for smoke inhalation.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A house fire occurred Sunday afternoon in the Belford section of Middletown, according to the Belford Independent Fire Company.

The fire broke out just after 3:30 p.m. at a home on Lynn Court in the Junction area of Belford. The fire started on the deck of the home and arriving firefighters found the back of the home on fire, with flames extending to the attic.

Firefighters had to open the home's roof to put out the fire.
