Woman Hit By Car In Atlantic Highlands

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ — A woman was hit by a car Thursday night in Atlantic Highlands, police in that town reported.

This happened at 6 p.m. at the intersection of Memorial Parkway and Grand Avenue. The woman, who was not identified by name, was conscious and alert when police and EMTs got there and she was taken to Riverview Medical Center, where she was evaluated and released.

Also, the driver who hit her remained at the scene and cooperated with police. No arrests were made or criminal charges filed, but motor vehicle summonses are pending, said police.
