Flooding Possible In Millburn, Weather Forecasters Warn
More ugly weather may be on the way after a severe weekend storm. Here's when it's expected to arrive in Millburn.
MILLBURN, NJ — More ugly weather may be on the way for Millburn on Monday and Tuesday, forecasters say – including potential flooding.
Recovery efforts continue across the state after a severe weekend storm walloped New Jersey with heavy winds and rain last weekend. More than 120,000 people across the state were still without electricity on Sunday, according to Jersey Central Power & Light, PSE&G and Atlantic City Electric.
The weather isn’t expected to dry out in Millburn for at least a few days, forecasters say.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a Hazardous Weather Outlook in effect for the region, with a Flood Watch extending into Tuesday morning.

Monday: Periods of showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 72. Northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Monday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 63. Northeast wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tuesday: A chance of showers before 2pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2pm and 5pm, then a slight chance of thunderstorms after 5pm. Cloudy, with a high near 73. Northeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Tuesday Night: A slight chance of showers between 8pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Northeast wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. North wind 3 to 5 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86.
Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 87.
Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70.
