While some Morris County residents had to shovel more than two feet of snow from their property, there’s fun to be had with what’s leftover.
The Morris County Office of Emergency Management has organized a “Snowperson Contest” for all county residents to compete in.
Participants are asked to create a snowperson with a “first responder/healthcare worker” theme. Officials suggest creative snowy twists on police officers, firefighters, EMS workers, nurses, and the like.
There will be first, second and third place winners.
See the details below:
- The contest begins (Monday) and will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday (1/28).
- We’re still answering 911 calls and responding to emergencies, so winner announcements will happen after the contest closes! We will follow up with a message to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners!
- Kids must be involved.
- A representative from OEM/EMS and the MCCC/911 CORE Team will physically visit the Morris County residence of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place snowpeople!
- Once winners are announced publicly on Facebook, selected participants will be instructed to email us so we can coordinate the on-site snowperson verification.
To participate, snap a photo of your snowperson and comment it on the Facebook post embedded below (do not include your address):
