Motorcyclist Airlifted After Crash On North Jersey Highway
The man was thrown from his bike while changing lanes, police said.
WARREN COUNTY, NJ — A Virginia man was hospitalized this week after being thrown from his motorcycle in Warren County, police said.
On Wednesday, around 10:45 a.m., police were called to I-80 west at milepost 11 in Hope Township on reports of a crash.
Authorities found a Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Christopher Beckans, 58, of Centereach, Virginia, had crashed.

Investigators said Beckans lost control of the Harley while changing lanes, causing it to overturn and eject him.
As a result, Beckans suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. A helicopter was forced to land in the middle of I-80 to extract Beckans, according to the Hope Volunteer Fire Department.

Details on his condition as of Thursday morning were not immediately available.
New Jersey State Police are investigating the crash.
