NJ Man Hit, Carried 140 Feet By Truck On Pa. Highway, Police Say
The 51-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, according to officials.
WARREN COUNTY, NJ — A Warren County man was killed this week after being hit by a pickup truck while standing on the side of a Pennsylvania highway, according to police.
On Monday, just before 4 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police were called to I-80 East near mile marker 298 in Pocono Township on reports of an accident.
Authorities learned that a 51-year-old man from Alpha Borough was standing outside of the driver’s side of his car when a truck slammed into him.

Police said the truck was speeding in the left lane when a tractor-trailer veered in front of it, prompting the truck driver to “aggressively” swerve into the right lane and shoulder.
The truck hit the man, who became pinned to the grill, and carried him roughly 140 feet before stopping in a patch of grass, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The collision is still under investigation, and authorities have not announced any charges as of Tuesday afternoon.
