13 Injured In Bus Crash At Newark Airport

Authorities closed the roadway after a shuttle bus crashed. Here's where arriving passengers should be dropped off in the meanwhile.

NEWARK, NJ — A shuttle bus crashed at Newark Airport in New Jersey early Monday morning, injuring more than a dozen people, authorities said.

The crash took place around 3 a.m. on the Terminal B Departures Level 3 roadway when the bus jumped a curb and hit a concrete wall, ABC News reported.

Port Authority officials told Patch that 13 people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Level 3 roadway is closed as crews clear debris from the area. Air traffic has not been affected, News 12 New Jersey reported.

“Due to Port Authority Police Department activity, please drop off all Terminal B Departures on Level 2,” airport officials advised.

An investigation continues into the crash, authorities said.
