New Brunswick Woman Part Of Ring That Stole Dirt Bikes, Police Say

MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ — A New Brunswick woman is part of a group of people who stole dirt bikes in Middlesex County, said Monroe Twp. Police.

The ring would search social media sites, such as Facebook, to locate dirt bikes advertised for sale. Based on photos in the listing, they could identify where the dirt bikes were being stored. They would then break in and steal the bikes, said Monroe Twp. Police.

This happened in Monroe Twp. and nearby, said police.

In January, Monroe Police set up an undercover sting: Detectives posted a decoy social media advertisement showing a dirt bike stored somewhere in Monroe Township. Officers set up a surveillance and observed multiple suspicious cars entering a nearby area, police said.

During the first phase, officers stopped one car after observing it caused damage to perimeter fencing. Police also found evidence of attempted entry. Two individuals were taken into custody.

In continued surveillance at the same location, officers observed three masked individuals enter the property and attempt to access the targeted unit using burglary tools. Officers identified themselves and took all three into custody without incident. In total, six people were arrested and charged with burglary-related offenses including criminal mischief, burglary, criminal trespass and possession of burglary tools: They are:

• Luis Anderson Cleto, 23, of the Bronx
• Antonio Dejesus Correamena, 38, of the Bronx
• Axel Estevez-Gonzalez, 22, of the Bronx
• Oscar Estevez-Gonzalez, 32, of the Bronx
• Andy Estevez-Gonzalez, 24, of the Bronx
• Jennifer Jaquez, 23, of New Brunswick, was additionally charged with conspiracy to commit theft and burglary.

Monroe Police say one car used in the operation was reported stolen out of New York City and contained an altered vehicle identification number.
