Rutgers Student Was Sexually Assaulted Inside Her Car, Police Say

A female Rutgers student was sexually assaulted inside her car on April 18, said campus police.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A female Rutgers student was sexually assaulted inside her car on April 18 on the New Brunswick campus, said Rutgers Police.

This happened between 5:04 a.m. and 5:26 a.m., in Rutgers Lot 26, located at 21 Bartlett Street in New Brunswick. The woman said she was standing outside of her vehicle in the parking lot when she was approached by a man. The two engaged in conversation and then got into her car, where she reported she was sexually assaulted.

Rutgers University Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the RUPD Detective Bureau at 848-932-8025.
