Wonderland Redevelopment Vote To Be Held Thursday In Ocean City

A report recommended the site be named an area in need of rehabilitation.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — City Council will vote Thursday on whether to designate the former Gillian's Wonderland Pier property as an area in need of rehabilitation.

The property meets the criteria to earn that designation, according to a report from professional planner Jennifer L. Heller of Polistina and Associates.

Heller was hired by City Council earlier this year to examine the property, also known as 600 Boardwalk.

Instead, it suggested a compromise, supporting the idea of hotels on the Boardwalk. Read more: Ocean City Subcommittee Makes Recommendations For Boardwalk Development
