Paramus' Annual Police, Firefighters Softball Game Set For 4th of July Weekend

The annual softball game is part of Paramus' two-day celebration for Independence Day this year.

PARAMUS, NJ —Paramus' Police Department and Fire Department will go head-to-head in an annual softball game for the Fourth of July.

The Frank "Dutch" Cleenput 4th of July PD vs. FD Annual Softball Game will kick off on Thursday, July 2, at 8 p.m. at the Cliff Gennarelli Sports Complex.

The annual softball game is part of Paramus' two-day celebration for Independence Day this year.

Other events include a parade, food truck festival and fireworks.

The Independence Day Parade on July 3 steps off at 9 a.m. starting at Century Road and Farview Avenue, heading north on Farview Avenue and ending at Memorial School.

At 2 p.m., the Food Truck Festival gets underway at Paramus High School. Admission is $5; children under 5 get in free.

The day wraps up with a Fireworks Spectacular at dusk, also at Paramus High School, with free admission.
