1,000+ Without Power In Parsippany: See Restoration Times

Tuesday's intense heat wave and storm are contributing to the blackout, energy officials say.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — More than 1,000 customers lost power Tuesday afternoon in Parsippany, according to First Energy Corp.

As of 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, 1,360 customers, or roughly six percent of Parsippany's population, are without power.

Officials say that Tuesday afternoon's storm damaged two circuits, leaving hundreds without power.

As of 3:15 p.m., power is expected to be restored in the township by 6 p.m.

The only other Morris County town experiencing noteworthy outages is Hanover Township, with 68 customers out. Power is expected to be restored in Hanover by 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
