NJ School Counselor Disappears, Multi-Agency Search Launches

The local coach and counselor has not been seen since Monday, police say.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A multi-agency search is underway to find a missing Parsippany man who vanished this week.

Cavan Londergan, 49, was last seen on Monday in Madison, according to police.

He is described as a white man with a slim build, gray hair, blue eyes, and is roughly 5’10” tall. Surveillance footage of Londergan shows him wearing a green T-shirt and khaki shorts around the time of his disappearance.

Anyone who has seen Londergan or has any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Madison Police Department immediately at (973) 593-3000.

Details regarding the circumstances of Londergan's disappearance were not immediately available on Wednesday morning.

Londergan is reportedly a guidance counselor at Lake Parsippany Elementary School. He is a Parsippany High School graduate and has coached and taught in the area for more than 20 years.
