Council Meeting, Leighton Listens, Blood Drive: Princeton This Week

PRINCETON, NJ — good morning neighbors, welcome to Monday manual where we tell you what's happening in town this week.

Council Meeting

The Princeton Mayor and Council will meet Monday, at 7 p.m. in Main Council Chambers, with public hearings scheduled on three parking ordinances covering Hun Road, Walnut Lane, Guyot Avenue, and borough-wide public parking fees.

The council will also vote on several resolutions, including a development agreement with PCH Development Corporation for an affordable housing project at 303 John Street, along with vehicle and equipment purchases for the municipality's fleet.

The meeting will include a public comment period for items not on the agenda and can be attended in person or via Zoom.

Leighton Listens

Princeton Councilman David Newlin is hosting weekly office hours to hear resident feedback on issues including affordable housing, transit, development, human services, infrastructure and open space. The next sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Hinds Plaza.

Blood Drive

The Princeton Health Department will host a blood drive with the American Red Cross on Aug. 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents can sign up at RedCrossBlood.org using code HealthDeptPrincetonNJ.
