Going On Vacation? Princeton Police Will Check Your Home For Free

Submit a request online before you leave, and officers will monitor your home's exterior.

PRINCETON, NJ - The Princeton Police Department is reminding residents that its Vacant House Check Program is available for anyone leaving town for a weekend getaway or an extended vacation.

Residents can submit an online Vacant House Check Request before departing, and officers will periodically check the exterior of the home while the owner is away.

Residents are asked to call the department when they return to let officers know they are back.

The service is free and available to all Princeton residents. Requests can be submitted at this link.

"It's a free service available to Princeton residents and just one more way we're working together to keep our community safe," the police department said.
