New Italian-American Restaurant Is Coming To Marketfair In Mercer County

The new restaurant will be located next to Seasons 52.

PRINCETON, NJ — Italian-American restaurant chain LaScala's Fire is expanding to MarketFair shopping center in West Windsor. This marks its fourth New Jersey location.

The new restaurant will be located next to Seasons 52 on Route 1 and will offer classic Italian-American fare made fresh daily, according to MarketFair's website.

Other LaScala's Fire restaurants are located in Marlton, Glassboro, and Ocean Casino Resort. The restaurant was founded by Rob LaScala.

His culinary vision stems from his grandparents, Francesco and Tommasina Rocchino, who left Calabria, Italy, for Philadelphia in 1920. The couple established Rocchino & Sons, a corner deli and grocery, along with a construction business in South Philadelphia, according to their website.

"My grandparents and their beautiful daughter Rosemary LaScala, my mother, are my inspiration every day! I honor their passion, their integrity, and their drive in all I do," the website quoted LaScala.

MarketFair is home to more than 35 retailers, including Barnes & Noble, AMC Theatres, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, and Anthropologie.

An exact opening for the restaurant has not been announced yet.
