PRINCETON, NJ — A new principal has been appointed to lead Littlebrook School in Princeton.

The Princeton Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Lisa Caudill, effective July 1 through June 30, 2027, with a salary of $147,900.

Her appointment follows Luis Ramirez's resignation from the elementary school post last month.

Superintendent Michael LaSusa announced the recommendation at a Board of Education meeting, saying the district had a strong pool of applicants after Ramirez stepped down.

LaSusa said many of the finalists were current principals and assistant principals in other districts, but one candidate stood out.

"At the end of the day, there was one individual who was a little bit more exceptional than the rest,” he said. “And her name was Lisa Caudill.

According to LaSusa, Caudill has elementary teaching experience, especially in upper elementary grades, and has built a strong reputation in Hillsborough Township.

He also said that for the past four years, she has been at Orchard Hill Elementary School in Montgomery Township, which he described as a large pre-K through 2 school with more than 700 students.

"She’s an all-star. She’s amazing," he said, recounting what people had been telling him in recent days about Caudill.

He added that the district believes she has developed skills and knowledge "that we think will be terrific for our Little Brook community."

After the board approved her appointment, Caudill addressed the board, staff, students, and families.

"I am honored and very excited to be appointed as the next principal of Little Brook Elementary School," she said.

In her remarks, Caudill spoke about the role schools played in her own life and her belief in educators.

"I believe deeply in the power of education and have experienced first-hand how schools can change the course of your life,' she said.

She also told the Littlebrook community, "I cannot wait to meet you all and start this next chapter together."
