Princeton Council Meeting Set For Monday: What To Know

PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton Mayor and Council will meet Monday, at 7 p.m. in the Main Council Chambers, with an agenda that includes ordinance votes, contract approvals and a proclamation honoring a retiring official.

The meeting will open with the swearing-in of four probationary police officers: Angelina Moench, Joseph Horn, Eliza Ford and Justin Tisdale. Police Chief Christopher Solovay will present his monthly report for July.

Council members will also present a proclamation honoring Maria O'Connell on the occasion of her retirement, followed by a presentation on signage regulations.

Ordinances

The council will hold a public hearing on an ordinance regulating parking on Hun Road. A second ordinance regarding the Princeton Fire Department will be introduced, with a public hearing scheduled for Sept. 14.

Consent agenda

The consent agenda includes payment of bills and claims, membership in the 791 Purchasing Cooperative, several tax and sewer billing adjustments and refunds, a banner placement over Washington Road for Princeton University Concerts in October, board and commission appointments, and special event approvals for the Trinity Turkey Trot 5K on Nov. 26 and the Arts Council of Princeton's Outdoor Art Market Street Fair on Nov. 7.

Members of the public may comment on items not on the agenda during the meeting, either in person or via Zoom.
