Princeton Porchfest Pivots Indoors Due To Nor'easter

PRINCETON, NJ — With a nor'easter headed toward New Jersey, the Arts Council of Princeton said it has changed plans for the Saturday festival. Instead of music on porches, driveways and outdoor stages around town, a condensed lineup will perform at indoor locations hosted by small businesses and local partners.

"While it's almost unbelievable, we're faced still with a pretty bleak forecast," organizers said. "Sadly, there doesn't seem to be any change on the horizon, so we're making the difficult decision to pivot our Porchfest plans."

The festival had been set to feature more than 70 acts on 15 stages from noon to 6 p.m. It's the second time weather has disrupted Porchfest this year, after an earlier date was canceled because of inclement weather.

Organizers encouraged music fans to stop by one or more of the indoor spots.

"We hope you'll find your way to one – or more! – of our indoor locations to keep the party going and help us show the musicians some love," they said.

The indoor venues include The Graduate Hotel, 287 Witherspoon Street, Princeton Public Library, Princeton University Art Museum, Small World Coffee, Tipple & Rose, Triumph and Witherspoon Grill.
