Princeton Sets Sept. 24 Presentation On Land Development Code Review

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton officials have released a diagnostic report evaluating the municipality's Land Development Code (LDC), marking the first step in an effort to overhaul and modernize the regulations governing development in town.

The Code Diagnostic, prepared by planning firm Camiros, identifies opportunities to reorganize and clarify Princeton's existing development regulations while addressing priorities raised in the municipality's adopted Comprehensive Plan, other adopted plans, and initial listening sessions with local code users, according to the municipality.

Officials described the diagnostic as the starting point for the broader rewrite process rather than a final set of changes. The ideas and recommendations in the report are preliminary and open for public discussion and refinement, the municipality said, and public input will help determine which approaches move forward and how they are incorporated into the new code.

A public presentation on the Code Diagnostic is scheduled for Sept. 24, 7 p.m. at 400 Witherspoon Street.
