PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, June 2, to vote in New Jersey’s primary election, including the Democratic primary race for two Princeton Council seats.

The top two vote-getters will advance to the November general election.

When Is Election Day?

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 2.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Where Do Princeton Residents Vote?

Polling places vary depending on your voting district. Princeton voters can confirm their polling place through the New Jersey Division of Elections online polling place search tool.

  • Districts 5, 9, 11, 19 — Princeton Public Schools Administration Building, 25 Valley Rd.
  • Districts 14, 20 — Former Princeton First Aid Squad Garage, 237 N. Harrison St.
  • Districts 15, 16, 17 — Littlebrook School, 39 Magnolia Ln. (enter through back gate/gym)

Polling places will be open on June 2 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Mercer County residents can vote early in person from May 26 through May 31.

Early voting hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Princeton’s early voting site is:

  • Princeton Municipal Building, Community Room, 400 Witherspoon St.

Mercer County voters may also cast ballots at any early voting site in the county.

Voting By Mail/Dropbox

Vote-by-mail applications are available through the Mercer County Clerk and the New Jersey Division of Elections.

The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot by mail is May 26. Applications may also be submitted in person through June 1 at 3 p.m.

Completed ballots can be:

  • Returned by mail
  • Delivered to the Mercer County Board of Elections
  • Placed in an official secure drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day

Princeton drop box locations include:

  • Princeton Municipal Building, 400 Witherspoon St.
  • Princeton University Dinky Station/Wawa Circle, 152 Alexander St.
