Ramsey Council To Consider $33K Finch Park Message Board
The borough is considering a $33,375 contract to replace the outdoor electronic sign at Finch Park.
RAMSEY, NJ — Finch Park could soon get a new electronic message board under a contract heading before the Ramsey Borough Council.
The council will consider awarding a $33,375 contract to Daktronics for a Galaxy outdoor electronic message board during its meeting Wednesday, according to the borough’s Mayor and Council agenda.
The proposed resolution says Ramsey needs to replace the electronic message board at Finch Park. Borough documents do not explain why the existing board needs to be replaced or provide an installation timeline.

Ramsey would purchase the sign through Sourcewell, a cooperative purchasing system. The resolution says funding is available through Ordinance 13-2026, which the council adopted in June.
That ordinance appropriated $43,000 for the replacement and installation of a new electronic message board at the park. The proposed Daktronics contract covers the board’s $33,375 purchase price.

The council meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the second-floor council chambers at Borough Hall, 33 North Central Avenue. It will also be conducted by telephone and available to view on the borough’s YouTube channel.
The agenda includes a public-comment period. The proposed contract requires council approval before Ramsey can proceed with the purchase.
